Scraping Up New Ideas

Thoughtful innovations that we found on two products might save you a few minutes and avoid potential messes in the kitchen.

The Bowl Scraper Food Processor from Hamilton Beach ($50), which was introduced in August 2012, has an internal attachment that scrapes ingredients from the side of the bowl, which eliminates the need for you to use a spatula for that task.

Blendtec’s Twister jar ($119) was introduced in May 2012 and can be used on any Blendtec blender. It has arms within the jar. When you twist the lid, the arms push thick mixtures, such as hummus or nut butter, back into the blending action.
