Tracking and measuring progress

The Nike Fuelband Ice ($150) lets you track your workout progress throughout the day by measuring calories burned, steps and time. The wristband then translates your measurements from an activity into “NikeFuel.” After you attain your daily NikeFuel score, it can be stored as a goal to surpass the next day. If you acheive a goal, such as burning more calories, the wristband illuminates in green light. You also can plug the wristband into your computer’s USB port to view or share your daily scores.

The wristband is more expensive than some other pedometers or exercise-measuring armbands or wristbands. Although less expensive models won’t measure today’s workout against yesterday’s for you, of course, you can keep track of the data yourself.
